Child Protection in Scouting

safe-and-sound.jpgIn Huddersfield South West we provide fun and adventure to over 800 young people every week.

We provide a safe environment for your child to experience over 200 different activities in Scouting.

Appointing adults who work with young people

All our adults provide their time voluntary to help your child get the most of our Scouting.

Before we appoint any Leader to help deliver Scouting activities they are interviewed locally and provide references.

Everyone working with young people in Scouting is asked to undertake a DBS check, (Disclosure and Barring Service) also sometimes known as a 'police check'.
